Charles Will Give The 'PLL's A Prom To Remember
If this doesn't end with Charles hijacking the DJ booth and playing Nastasha Bedingfield on loop, I want my money back, I. Marlene King. Tuesday night's "FrAmed" was a HUGE episode in terms of A-moments and, honestly, it's about damn time. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Charles will go to prom on Pretty Little Liars . Sure, that's not really a surprise — no PLL fan believed that Charles was going to let "his dolls" have a night free of A-torment. But, would PLL really give us a prom night with Charles and not a single Haleb scene? God, I hope not. But, perhaps the most important question here is what Charles' plan might be once he arrives at Rosewood's Enchanted Forest-themed prom?
First, it's important to note that Charles' attending the prom might mean that the Liars will get to attend after all. Or did the moms really outdo themselves this time and actually print out tickets for their faux-prom in Spencer's barn? Those tickets that Red Coat handed Charles looked incredibly legit and I can't imagine a reason why he'd go to an event that the Liars are forbidden from attending unless A) luck turned in their favor, B) they just say "screw the rules" and go anyway, or C) Ali goes to the real prom alone — I mean, she's the one he's been after all of this time anyway.
There really wasn't much to predict about Charles' plan once he gets to the prom from the reveal at the end of "FrAmed." However, there are a few things we know for sure. Obviously, with Red Coat back on Pretty Little Liars and making multiple appearances during Tuesday's episode, we know that he's not going to be working alone. The series wouldn't reintroduce Red Coat after all of this time if they didn't intend to use the character in this story somehow. We also know that whatever Charles might be planning for that night has something to do with recollecting his precious "dolls" — he wants the Liars back and he's not going to stop until he gets them. So, how will it happen? It's possible that Charles could reveal himself to distract the girls, while Red Coat drugs the Liars in the same way Charles did in the dollhouse (there is a lot of smoke in those prom photos). Or maybe, just maybe, this has nothing to do with collecting the girls at all and, instead, will be the ultimate reveal we've all been waiting for. Charles will take of his mask — literally — once and for all. And what better place to do it than in a foggy and possibly crowded high school dance?
Whatever the plan ends up being, it's obvious that the Liars are in for a night that they probably won't forget — and we're in for a night that'll haunt our nightmares until Season 6b premieres. For more Charles theories, check out Bustle’s PLL podcast.
