Evangeline Lilly's Displeased With This Ladymag

by Alanna Bennett

You know all those magazine covers you see next to you when you're checking out at the grocery store? Well, turns out some stars on those covers aren't necessarily pleased with how they're being portrayed. Such is the case with Evangeline Lilly's Women's Health cover, which she called out on Conan Wednesday night.

Lilly's making the rounds promoting her role as Tauriel in The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, and along the way this included both her cover on the women's magazine (which you can see here) and her appearance on Conan. She used the latter to talk about the former. Why? Because the former plastered a big arrow on its cover pointing to her derriere and declared it the "BEST. BUTT. EVER."

Asked if this was a cover concept that she was informed of ahead of time, she responded with a resounding "NO!"

Do you think I would have done the shoot if they said, 'Oh, by the way, we're gonna say 'Best Butt Ever!' and put a big arrow to your behind.' You know, every woman is after a kind of classy image. I didn't want T&A on my cover. It's a women's magazine, not Maxim.

This, sadly, does not seem like a rare occurrence — we do, after all, live in a world of photoshop nightmares and an over-focus on women's side boob.
