Hillary Takes Down Jeb Bush With Just 5 Words

by Celia Darrough

In what was not just a hint of shade, but a full-on smackdown, Hillary Clinton tweeted at Jeb Bush. And oh, it was absolutely glorious. In a strong stand for women's rights, Clinton took the time to respond to a journalist's tweet about a quote Bush gave during the Southern Baptist Convention. Because Clinton is the queen of everything, she decided she just wasn't going to let Bush get away with this comment, even if she wasn't even around to hear it.

Sabrina Siddiqui, a political reporter for The Guardian, was live-tweeting the Southern Baptist Convention, where Bush and fellow candidate Marco Rubio were being interviewed in front of a bunch of evangelical pastors. Bush gave the typical conservative line about how the next president should defund Planned Parenthood, but he also dropped this bomb: "I'm not sure we need half a billion dollars for women's health issues."

Right. In 2013, the government spent $432 million on war planes that Congress knew would never be used. But yeah, the health of more than 150 million women in the country doesn't even deserve a little more than planes that will never take flight. Clinton, knowing this, sent out a praise-worthy tweet that read: ".@JebBush: You are absolutely, unequivocally wrong."

Oh. Yeah.
