Come See Chelsea Clinton On Her Book Tour!
Chelsea Clinton — the two-time First Daughter, former NBC News special correspondent, Clinton Foundation board member, and new mother (phew!) — now has one more role to add to her impressive resume: author. Chelsea Clinton’s first book It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going will be published by Penguin Random House next month. In celebration of the book’s release, on September 15, Clinton will kick off a 20-city book tour, visiting schools and bookstores across the United States.
Written for 10- to 14-year-old readers, It’s Your World features inspiring stories of young world-changers who are already making positive impacts on their local communities and around the globe. The book explains some of the biggest challenges facing our world — and especially young people — today, while exploring solutions to those challenges.
Some of the issues addressed in It’s Your World include poverty, gender equality, climate change, and endangered species — Clinton is taking on the big stuff. By featuring kids and teens who are already making a difference, Clinton hopes the book will inspire and empower more youth to take the initiative to try and change the world as well. Is it possible to love Chelsea Clinton any more than we already do? Turns out, it is.
Here's what Clinton says about her first published book, and upcoming tour:
In It's Your World, I explore what I think are some of the biggest challenges facing our world today, particularly for kids and also share stories of inspiring kids (and a few adults too) who are tackling those challenges in their communities and across our world. I'm looking forward to hearing from kids across the country about what they're doing in their communities, what they want to do and how we can get more people involved in making our world healthier.
