'Victor Frankenstein' Channels 'Harry Potter'

Get ready to see Daniel Radcliffe in an entirely new light! The first Victor Frankenstein trailer just hit the internet and it shows the actor playing the assistant to the famous scientist. Oh, and there's the matter of Radcliffe's long, flowing locks. After eight movies in the Harry Potter franchise, it can be tricky to separate Radcliffe from his most famous role. However, even though he looks so different in the Victor Frankenstein trailer, the video still reminds me a lot of Radcliffe's Hogwarts days.

Aside from the fact that there's supernatural elements at play, the whole trailer gives off a kind of fantastical vibe that immediately makes me think of Diagon Alley. Throw in James McAvoy, who plays the corrupt Victor Frankenstein, and this movie looks totally amazing.

Want to know more? According to Just Jared, the movie focuses on Frankenstein and Igor:

"Who share a noble vision of aiding humanity through their groundbreaking research into immortality. But Victor’s experiments go too far, and his obsession has horrifying consequences. Only Igor can bring his friend back from the brink of madness and save him from his monstrous creation."

I still think the trailer reminds me of the HP glory days. Check out seven moments that totally could have been set in Hogwarts.

1. When There Was A Quest For Immortality

Okay, this isn't He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named level, but still.

2. When There Was A Castle-Like Building

Hello, Hogwarts!

3. When There's Missing Body Parts

It kind of reminds me of Polyjuice Potion.

4. When Daniel Radcliffe Butted Heads With Authority

The police aren't exactly Snape, but Radcliffe can't ever stay out of trouble, can he?

5. When Daniel Radcliffe Tried To Do The Right Thing

There's his inner Harry Potter!

6. When Daniel Radcliffe Is Chased By Monsters

Throwback to the bathroom troll.

7. When Daniel Radcliffe Spent A Lot Of Time In A Lab

The potions lab, it is not, but it still gives off that vibe.
