'Teen Wolf' Star Holland Roden's Red Monochrome Looks Are Inspiration For Redheads Everywhere
As a redhead, I wouldn't say that I avoid wearing red, but it's definitely not the first color that comes to mind when I'm trying to put together an outfit (although in red's defense, black is usually the only color that comes to my mind when putting together an outfit). However, that may no longer be the case after seeing Teen Wolf star Holland Roden's head-to-toe red looks. The star rocked the color on two separate occasions and looked absolutely stunning.
At the premiere of She's Funny That Way on Wednesday night, Roden wore a see-through red and black lace Self Portrait dress from their Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, pairing it with black Christian Louboutin pumps and a vampy red lipstick. The night before, Roden wore another red Self Portrait dress, this time with slicked back hair and strappy gold heels. The fact that she wore two monochrome red looks in a row makes me think that she might be onto something.
Matching your hair and makeup to your outfit might be a surefire way to look incredibly chic. Perhaps another way to look incredibly chic is to wear Self Portrait, which is a London-based label that is surprisingly affordable (compared to other designer merchandise) that has been favored by some of the most stylish celebs, including Rachel McAdams and Kerry Washington.
Although I must admit that redheads have a certain advantage when it comes to matching your hair to your lipstick and your dress. Most other hair colors don't give you that option. So maybe we should all take a cue from Roden and wear more red, because it clearly works.
