You Definitely Want To Want To See 'The Bachelor'

by Nicole Pomarico

After waiting for what feels like forever to find out who the next guy to date 25 women on national television is, the announcement is finally here. On tonight's edition of the Bachelor in Paradise after show, After Paradise, Chris Harrison announced that the next Bachelor is Ben Higgins, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Of course, since rumors first started circulating about Ben as the next leading man, I was super psyched. It was a bummer to see him leave on The Bachelorette, even though he wasn't right for Kaitlyn, but there is a silver lining for him. Undoubtedly one of the women ABC lines up for him will be the right one, and if not, all of them are going to try to make sure they're the right one. I mean, have you seen this guy? He's adorable! So, now that the biggest question is answered, it's time for the second biggest question: When is The Bachelor with Ben H. going to premiere?

If you're excited to get the ball rolling, I have bad news for you: We probably have awhile to go. If The Bachelor follows suit with previous seasons, we won't see our beloved Ben H. greeting his ladies as they arrive in their limos (or, you know, cupcakes and stuff) until January 2016. That means we still have to get through fall, some of winter, and the entire holiday season before The Bachelor premieres, and that sucks. If you're anything like me, the wait will drag on forever, especially after Bachelor in Paradise wraps up later this summer.

But, even though it's a long wait, it's definitely worth it. There are plenty of good reasons to stick around for Ben's season, because I have a feeling that this year is going to be super fun to watch.

He's Ready For Love

No wrong reasons for this guy!

Everyone Already Loves Him

So, you can totally watch with your friends and no one will be making snide comments about how the producers should have chosen someone else.

His Face, Though

Getting to stare at that for eight weeks is going to be a dream.

Plus, Don't You Want To See If Nick Viall Makes An Appearance?

It's now a Bachelor Nation tradition, and I don't want to miss it.

Bachelor Season 20, get here soon! I don't know how much more waiting I can do.
