When Can You Get Janet Jackson's New Album?

by Kadeen Griffiths

Nothing spices up an otherwise boring day like amazing Janet Jackson news, am I right? And this news is almost as huge as the fact that she's releasing new music after such a long hiatus at all. On Thursday morning, Jackson revealed Unbreakable's release date, as well as a track list, because, you know, we weren't excited enough. The album, which is available for pre-order on iTunes on Sept. 3, will be in our hands officially on Oct. 2. That means that we have less than a month in which to replay Jackson's entire discography and get all of our money ready to buy the album for ourselves and, you know, for all of our friends so we have someone else to talk to about how great it is.

Even better, the track list includes a song that features Missy Elliot, so if you've been waiting for her to make a more formal comeback after appearing during Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show, then this could be the next thing that gets her some buzz. Basically, Jackson's album already has the potential of being the greatest thing you'll hear all year, based on the fact a) that it's hers and b) she has a song with Elliot on it alone. Heck, I'm not even sure that I could handle more good news from Jackson today.

Between this album and her tour, it seems that Jackson is back, and, from the success of her first single, it's clear that the public is ready and willing to embrace her once more. Mark your calendars and start counting down the days until the next Jackson album, you guys, because it won't be long now.
