Diane Kruger's Red Jumpsuit Might Be Her VFF Best

by Amy Sciarretto

Jumpsuits are the trend of pre-fall 2015. Actress Diane Kruger donned a red jumpsuit by Cushnie et Ochs at the Venice Film Festival, continuing her reign of slayage at the event. She has had one fashion hit right after another, like her fairytale princess dress. But there are two key reasons that her jumpsuit stands out: the color and those cutouts.

Jumpsuits can be very severe. I often think of them as harsh ensembles. So all of the details of a jumpsuit need to be sexy, soft, and feminine to make them work for the red carpet.

Jennifer Aniston has proven that an unusual silhouette, like a jumpsuit with straps, can make all the difference in transforming it into a va-va-va-voom outfit. Selena Gomez has worn plenty of jumpsuits in black and red tones, and she is in her early '20s, proving the cut can have youth on its side.

Kruger is following suit — sorry, I had to! — since her scarlet jumpsuit boasts a criss-crossed top that looks like a plunging V with a bandeau underneath. It shows just enough skin in all the right places. It's all about dem details.

Here's a look at Kruger slaying Venice in a red hot and unforgettable red jumpsuit... and more!

The fitted leg makes the outfit so slimming. She kept her accessories and makeup to a minimum, since it was all about the red hawt color.

The candy apple shade pops against the actress' porcelain skin. The updo is a good choice, since it showed off her neck and the straps.

You see only a few hints of skin, so Kruger's vibe remains very classy without feeling fuddy duddy. But her crimson pantsuit wasn't her sole win of the event.

Kruger also wore a black shift dress by Preen with pockets, flowers, and a sailor's collar.

The frock is busy with a lot of elements, but none are overpowering. She paired it glossy ankle booties and socks. Therefore, I crush hard on her '90s-inspired presentation.

I love, love, love it. Personally, I think the tough, masculine booties make all the difference. Strappy heels would be sort of boring, expected, and would make this outfit almost too girlish.

Plus, skinny stilettos wouldn't balance out the boxy top the way that her booties do.

Isn't she adorbs? She was noshing on spaghetti and wearing quite a stylish and protective bib.

Seriously, though, Kruger is winning the Venice Film Festival with all of her amazing outfits. She is always one to watch.
