Home decor is an extension of one's fashion sense. Want proof? Well, rocker Lenny Kravitz has designed a line of furniture for CB2, the trendy home good store — '70s-inspired rocker decor is totally a thing! Kravitz is undeniably stylish and both his stage regalia and red carpet ensembles are definitive fashion statements. He often incorporates layers of scarves and necklaces, denim and leather, and aviator shades into his unique outfits.
Kravitz has a signature style and it works for him. So are we going to get, like, couches with leather and denim fringe?!
Kravitz launched Kravitz Design a few years ago, which centers on residential, commercial, and product design. This collab is a big and mainstream step forward for the firm.
"Our goal was to create a collection of pieces based on my personal style and the things that have inspired me throughout my travels," the rocker, whose daughter Zoe is quite the fashion "It Girl," said in a press release.
He continued, "This collection will appeal to a diverse group of people and we look forward to using them in future Kravitz Design projects as well as my houses in Bahamas and Brazil."
Cribs in Bahamas and Brazil? Must be nice, right?
Here's everything we know about CB2 x Kravitz Design by Lenny Kravitz, which was inspired by the artist's experiences and will have his fingerprints all over it. The line officially launches October 1.
1. That's '70s Show
The collection captures the vibe of both coasts in the '70s. Kravitz was inspired by the glam of '70s club culture as well as the natural vibe of the Cali music scene of the period. Those are two polar opposite aesthetics and energies. But if anyone can mesh them effectively, it's Kravitz. His personal style is a mix of '70s and modern looks.
2. Going Through Customs
Custom patterns were used in the designs. The materials are luxe, including textiles, leather, wood, metal, and reflective surfaces. The result is said to both earthy and elegant.
3. There Are 20 Pieces
The collection is mid-sized, comprised of 20 pieces. That includes lighting, wall décor, rugs, pillows, and furniture. So there's bound to be something for everyone.
Itching to rock out your abode with some Lenny Kravitz x CB2 pieces? Then sign up for the pre-sale, which takes place September 15 and 16. I'd be interesting in decking out my crib with something from the line, simply because I dig Kravitz's fashion sense.
