If you've been on the Internet, like, at all in the past few months, you know that Paramount has been going pretty much insane with their Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues promotion. Want to know how punk rock Will Ferrell really is? Dude's been in character as Ron Burgundy for, like, six months. That's insane dedication to promote a film, but I have to admit — it's all been great. There was that time when he appeared on Conan completely in character for the entire episode, the time when he sold Dodge Durangos...that time when he randomly appeared in someone's town completely alone holding a box of Dunkin' Donuts and a 40... it's all been some of the most creative promotion I've ever seen. And, while Will Ferrell's appearance with the rest of the Anchorman 2 crew on Watch What Happens Live last night isn't exactly as groundbreaking as putting a fictional character in a car ad, it was amusing as hell — leading me to the conclusion that these guys could promote Anchorman 2 by sitting on camera, and it would be great.
