Emilia Clarke Looks Lovely In Erdem

by Rosie Narasaki

Man, is Emilia Clarke on a fashion roll or what? After absolutely knocking the Terminator Genysis press tour out of the park (especially in Rosie Assoulin at the Los Angeles Premiere), she followed the series of home runs up with quite a fabulous showing in siren red Oscar de la Renta at GQ's Men of the Year Awards — and now she's upped the ante even more with a gloriously intricate Erdem stunner. Yep, Ms. Clarke (along with Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael) recently attended a private dinner celebrating the opening of the Erdem flagship store in London — and both women looked fabulous.

Carmichael is no stranger to the designer — she's worn Erdem at a handful of public appearances, perhaps most notably at the 2014 BAFTAs, as well as this year's BAFTA Tribute to Downton Abbey . This, however, might just be her most stylish outing in the brand yet. She looked absolutely lovely in an ultra-floral, ultra-lacy high-necked, tea-length dress. Clarke has less history with the brand, but she looked no less stunning at the store opening — she wore a similarly silhouetted gown featuring gorgeous sheer edelweiss-shaped appliqués — let's take a look.

Pretty darn gorgeous, right? Don't you love the way the flower appliqués look almost ethereally feather-like? It's a fairy tale-esque gown most definitely befitting of the future queen of Westeros.

Likewise, this embellished number is fit for nobility, a la Lady Edith. The complementary shades of blue are lovely and elegant, and her undone waves add some subtle boho edge to the look.

Um, adorable. Suffice it to say, Clarke and Carmichael just wore Erdem to best possible effect — here's hoping we see both actresses frequenting the brand again in the near future!
