Emilia Just Slayed In A Rosie Assoulin Dress

by Rosie Narasaki

I think we've all been feeling the truth of Melisandre's mantra ("For the night is long and full of terrors,") as we've begun to weather our way through the long, Thrones-less drought that will last until Season 6 begins airing in April. Luckily for us, Emilia Clarke has been providing some much-needed respite from all of the agony. Most recently and notably, Clarke wore a geometric Rosie Assoulin ball gown to the Los Angeles premiere, and the thing is the personification of fab. Oh, and she's also been keeping the Jon Snow hope alive (she was the first cast member to admit there might still be a chance!), and completely winning the press tour for Terminator Genysis. Other highlights include a well-won eyebrow battle with Cara Delevingne, a killer new haircut, and Dolce & Gabbana handily accessorized with crutches. But if I'm being honest, the Rosie Assoulin own is my absolute favorite moment yet.

I've always been a fan of Emilia's style (both on and off-screen — Daenerys has long had the cut-out game on lock ), and this particular press tour has been particularly fashionable. Throughout her numerous international appearances, she's killed it in everything from minimalist blush Calvin Klein to stripey Trademark. With that said, her latest look is definitely the grand finale. It's voluminous, graphic, and edgy, with a touch of optical illusion flair to really make it sing. Plus, it features cut-outs and a halter — and I think we all know that the ever-stylish Breaker of Chains/Khaleesi/Queen of the Andals and First Men/etc. would approve.

Add all this fabulousness to the fact that Emilia looks like a total badass in the new Terminator flick (seriously, all the weapons are ridiculously awesome), and you've got yourself an all-around win.
