Rita Ora Takes "Straight Off The Runway" Literally

by Kali Borovic

When most people say "straight off the runway," they don't mean it literally — unless they're famous, of course. After her SS16 collection walked the runway, Vera Wang gave Rita Ora an outfit from the collection backstage. To take home. That's right, Ora walked backstage wearing one outfit and came out wearing another.

Early on Tuesday morning the singer posted a selfie to Instagram featuring a nude lip and stunning brows all ready for fashion week. Just one hour later, the star posted another image in a brand new outfit. The caption of the photo says it all:

"Vera THANK YOU for My fresh off the runway look had to change backstage ASAP style!" [sic]

Although both of the outfits were all black, the singer traded her sheer high-to-low dress for an adorable mini with cutout shoulders. Her before look was completely sheer, showing off her matching black bra and underwear, while the off-the-runways look was much more dainty.

Ora also swapped shoes at the event. She walked into the show sporting strappy, open-toed heels that looked very summery. On her way out the door, the star traded them in for fall-ready, calf-high black platforms that paired perfectly with her new dress. Slay, Ora, slay!

In just about an hour, the singer sported two completely different looks that showed off both her edgy and feminine side. She must've thought that the designer's 20th look on the runway would be perfect for her upcoming show, because she posed for pictures in the outfit outside an airplane with the hashtag #BodyOnMeTour. Talk about VIP style!

There's no denying that she looked fabulous in her first pre-Wang look. The star sat front row at the event, a few seats away from Kylie Jenner, who obviously missed the pick-your-own-outfit memo.

After

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. Ora maintained her cool-girl style with this ensemble, while delivering a more elegant and feminine feel. I'm willing to bet that those shoes were straight off the runway as well.

I sure do wish I could do my shopping while sitting front row at a fashion show!
