Drop Everything: A New Beyonce Song Is Coming

by Maggie Malach

Stop everything you're doing because we have an official emergence-Bey on our hands. Naughty Boy's "Lose It All" features Beyonce and Benjamin Arrow and is expected to drop around 7PM ET on Sept. 17. (Just another source of Beyonce inspiration, right?) Deep breaths, everyone, because the excitement doesn't stop there.

Naughty Boy teased the new song on Twitter, giving fans lyrics excerpts, single art, and even a clip of "Lose It All." First things first: The track seems to be a piano-driven ballad. Beyonce's vocals sound flawless, naturally, as she belts: "Nothing else matters now you're not here / So where are you? / I've been calling you / I'm missing you." From what I've heard so far, I'm obsessed.

Naughty Boy tweeted different parts of the lyrics. While the hashtag #LoseItAll implies they're connected to the track, there's no indication if they are in sequential order. Nevertheless, here are the phrases he shared: "If I lose myself, I lose it all," "I've outrun the fears that chased, they're standing still," "Ain't runnin' from myself no more, together we'll win it all," "I'm ready to face it all," "Chasing you, chasing you, memories turn to dust," "I'm calling you, I'm missing you," "Nothing else matters now, you're not here," and "These four lonely walls have changed the way I feel." Ahhh, emotion! It's dreamy and perfect and Beyonce.

We're still missing some pieces to the puzzle, but I can make some guesses about the meaning of the song. Loss is apparent, as is the sense of loneliness the melody and visual evoke. However, hints of bravery peak through in the phases Naughty Boy tweeted, indicating that "Lose It All" will be marked with Beyonce's trademark empowerment.

Chances are, you're probably wondering who Arrow Benjamin is. While there's not a lot of information available on the artist, his Facebook fan page description says: "Arrow Benjamin Is An Artist With Depth & Purpose. Follow him on his Audio Revolution!!" While Beyonce's vocals are apparent on the clip, we might have to wait to see Benjamin's contribution.
