Sartorially speaking, this multi-hyphenate, all-around badass is mostly known for her bombshell status: After all, Ms. she seriously knows how to work a red carpet. That said, she went in something of a different direction in the front row of the recent Gucci show — instead of going for something fancy and metropolitan like Dakota Johnson, or eye-catchingly graphic like Charlotte Casiraghi, she delighted us all with an appliquéd, chunky knit sweater. In other words? Salma Hayek just went granny-chic at Milan Fashion Week... and it's kind of the best thing ever.
She reached Pretty in Pink levels of fashionable old-ladyness (seriously, Andie Walsh would be proud), with the aforementioned sweater: It was a cheery shade of marigold yellow, with a bluebird on each shoulder, a sparkling purple beaded bow in the center, and poinsettias blooming from the waistline. To up the granny-chic/stylish schoolmarm factor a bit, she paired it with a collared shirt underneath, then proceeded to toughen the look up a bit by adding a chic leather A-line skirt, a red clutch (and matching lipstick, of course), and some absolutely killer suede platform pumps into the mix. It all came together quite nicely. Let's take a look.
