All The New 'Flash' Characters In Season 2

The "metahuman of the week" aspect of The Flash made the CW series extra fun. Each reimagining of a goofy comic book character was surprising and enjoyable to watch. What new characters will join The Flash Season 2? Barry Allen and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs will have a lot of new faces this time around. Some will have powers. Some will cross over into the next spinoff, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and some may even be love interests for our established characters. One of the connecting elements between the new characters is that a bunch of them are speedsters just like Barry Allen. They can't all be evil like Reverse-Flash, right?

In Season 1, we said goodbye to both Eddie Thawne and Harrison Wells, though with the show's ability to travel time, anything is possible. Linda Park and the Rogues will also be around for Season 2. There are plenty of characters joining this season who we don't know as much about. A character named "Olivia" will be introduced as a love interest for Joe. We're also going to meet Iris West's mother. However, in terms of the major players and potential new allies and foes for Barry Allen, here are the new characters to look forward to in Season 2.

Patty Spivot

This new character, played by Shantel VanSanten, will join Joe at the Central City Police Department, aiming to join his metahuman task force.

Jay Garick

We saw his helmet teased at the end of Season 1 and now this old-timey speedster is joining the show, played by Teddy Sears.

Also known as Kid Flash, he fan favorite character will be played by Keiynan Lonsdale according to ScreenCrush. What will his relationship to Iris (and perhaps Barry) be on The Flash be?

TVLine announced that this speedster, played by Violett Beane, will make a stop in Season 2.

Doctor Light

Another metahuman lady is Doctor Light, who has also not yet been cast. This character has had several identities in the comics, but according to Screenrant it seems likely that The Flash is going with the Japanese astrophysicist Dr. Kimiyo Hoshi.

As announced by Variety, the character Carter Hall, played by Falk Hentschel, will be on all of the CW superhero series, since Hawkgirl will be a regular on DC' Legends of Tomorrow.

Vandal Savage

Also moving from the Arrow/Flash crossover episode to Legends of Tomorrow is Casper Crump as Savage, an immortal villain, according to Variety.

Professor Zoom

The show's big bad in Season 2 will be this mysterious character, who is faster than both Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne. He is so fast that as of right now, The Flash has only cast an actor for his voice, Tony Todd. Who's under the Zoom mask? Watch out!

Lewis Snart

Michael Ironside will play Lisa and Leonard's father, and I'm officially nicknaming him "Papa Rogue!" According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lewis is "ruthless," "abusive," and a "career criminal" just like his children.

Atom Smasher

This villain played by Adam Copeland will debut in Tuesday's premiere episode according to the official CW press release, so get ready! The Flash is wasting no time introducing characters for Season 2.
