Rooney Mara Channels Wednesday Addams

If we can put aside the Tiger Lily/ Pan whitewashing controversy (which is a shame, especially since Rooney Mara's take on the character is so badass) and look at things from a solely sartorial perspective, I think we can safely agree that Ms. Mara has some pretty on-point red carpet style. She recently stepped out in a ultra-chic black lace dress paired with a white collared shirt — a very Wednesday Addams-approved ensemble — and she elevated the look to an even higher fashion plane by adding in cooler-than-cool acetate frames, ultra-metropolitan booties and an ever-so-slightly '90s-esque rose-toned lippie.

Mara wore the winning look on her way home from The Today Show , and even amidst all of the recent Paris Fashion Week ensembles, it's one of the best street style looks around. Heck, I'd even go so far as to call it one of the actress' personal bests, and I say that as a huge fan of her style. I mean, the architectural Givenchy she wore to the Tokyo premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? This tulle/cut-out combo dress from Prabal Gurung? The red Dolce & Gabanna number she just wore on Late Night with Seth Myers ? Girl has some seriously on point taste.
