7 Times Lorde Embraced Her Curls Because She's All About That Natural Look — PHOTOS
I already thought this singer was as cool as they come, but now she’s really gone and proven me right. Lorde embraces her curls, and she thinks her curly-haired fans should too. She took to Tumblr to have a question and answer session, and one fan thanked her for always rocking her own curls because it taught her to do the same. Lorde’s response was naturally just as amazing as that head of hair she has.
According to Teen Vogue, she wrote, “curly hair is the coolest s*** mama i love having this halo of hair radiating out from my face the bigger the better! actually just cut my hair a little shorter so it would be as big and cute as possible.” You know what? Good for her! As a curly haired person myself, I think it’s great that she not only embraces her long locks, but also encourages others to do the same. Because, call me biased, but I’m with her on this one — accepting your natural hair texture really is “the coolest s***."
Now, enough talking about her tendrils, let’s get to the part where we can look at them, already, right? Here are seven of the musician’s best curly-haired moments that will inspire you to start showing off your natural locks, not matter what they look like. Because hey, if you've got it, flaunt it.
1. Loose Curls
Here's she's rocking a loosely curled look instead of her normal corkscrews.
2. Up 'do
Because sometimes you just feel like pulling your hair up any kinda way. I think it totally works for her, too.
She pulls off a side-part so well.
4. Fresh Out The Shower Chic
Her curls look amazing, even sopping wet.
5. Towsled Curls
There's nothing like a good head shake to bring your curls to life.
I used to hate my frizz, but now I think those little strands you can't control are kind of adorable.
7. Hat Hair
That's a chic look she's got going on there.
Embracing your natural self the way Lorde does really is a beautiful thing.
