Earlier on Friday, reports claimed that Odom’s heart was responding, according to sources “close to the situation.” The Los Angeles Daily News also reported that Odom was “waking up briefly” on Thursday, though sources claimed to E! News that Odom may suffer from severe mental and physical impairment from what could be an alleged drug overdose. Additionally, TMZ reports that that responses like opening his eyes could be involuntary.

Odom was found unconscious three days ago at at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South, a brothel, in Pahrump, Nevada, and hospitalized quickly after at Sunrise Hospital in Nevada, the Nye County Sheriffs confirmed in a press conference Wednesday. The former NBA player and Keeping Up With The Kardashians star remained in a coma until he showed signs of response on Thursday, according to the press conference.
