Kourtney Kardashian & Her Crew Are Gearing Up To Save The World — PHOTOS
Halloween might still be a week away, but that hasn't stopped Kourtney Kardashian and her three mini-mes from joining in the festivities a little early. On Saturday, Kardashian posted a couple Halloween photos to her Instagram, and she and her three kids — Mason, age 5, Penelope, age 3, and Reign, 10 months — made a precious foursome in their superhero garb. Mason dressed as the Flash, fully decked out in a cape and trademark lightning bolt symbol, while baby Reign bore a similar cape and little sister Penelope had a similarly lightning-themed outfit, albeit with a puffy white tutu.
Kim and Kanye's adorable two-year-old daughter North joined in for the first shot, though she's not quite of a piece dressed in a tiny unicorn dress with white sneakers. In that photo, the kids all stare off in different directions; they didn't quite get the memo to pose. Kardashian, though, stares head on, and looks fierce in her black knee-high boots and Wonder Woman body suit.
Though Kardashian broke up with Scott Disick over the summer, the Instagram photos are heartening demonstrations of family solidarity in the wake of the split. "I've worked so hard to keep this family together," she said in the season closer of Keeping Up With the Kardashians . If Instagram is any indicator, she's succeeding following the breakup — in addition to her little Halloween crew, she's been posting plenty of images surrounded by family and friends.
In the second photo, North has left the scene and the four Kardashian superheroes strike a pose. (Well, except Penelope — she still looks a little lost.)
This coordinated Halloween effort doesn't come as much of a surprise — the Kardashians are known to take Halloween pretty seriously. Kim went as Wonder Woman in 2008, and they've all posted elaborate family and solo costumes over the past few years as the sisters have each gradually settled down and made their own homes. It's not limited to Halloween, either; they've used a whole host of occasions as reasons to show off their costuming chops. Here are a few of the best costumes the sisters have posted to their Instagrams over the past few years.
1. Kourtney, Mason, And Penelope, 2014
Last year, Kourtney — still pregnant with Reign — dressed as a black cat, whiskers and all, while Penelope dressed as an adorable little skunk and Mason as Darth Vader. (North West appeared in a very similar skunk outfit last year as well.)
2. Kim And North, 2014
In addition to the skunk costume, Kim dressed up North for a Vogue-themed group outfit. Kim appeared as Vogue EIC Anna Wintour, while her friend Joyce Bonelli dressed as creative director Grace Coddington, with her trademark wild red hair. Their children dressed as former editor-at-large André Leon Talley and designer Karl Lagerfeld, respectively.
3. Kris, Kourtney, Kim, And Kylie — Pregnant
Though it wasn't quite Halloween, Kanye hosted a Pregnant Birthday Party for Kim to celebrate their second baby — requesting that each of her guests arrive dressed as their favorite interpretation of Pregnant Kim. Kendall Jenner posted a separate photo of herself at the party, and, as Kim wrote in an Instagram caption, fake bumps were provided on arrival.
4. Kourtney And The Family, 2015
Superheroes weren't the only coordinated effort Kourtney made to get her kids in the Halloween spirit — a week ago, she posted a photo of a mishmash of skeleton-clad feet, captioned "Skeleton cuddles."
5. North West's Kidchella
It's not only limited to October, either — the Kardashians have used seemingly any occasion to get dressed up in their alter egoes. For North West's first birthday, Kim and Kanye hosted "Kidchella," a massive Coachella-themed party in her honor. The Kardashians came dressed in their most exaggerated boho festival chic, though Khloe earned a bit of backlash for the massive Native American headdress she brought with her.
As the Kardashian clan expands, they've got more little minions to use for group costumes. With a week to go till Halloween, we're waiting to see what they'll come up with next.
