What 9 Plus Size Bloggers Wore On Halloween

by Marlen Komar

Now that Halloween is officially over, it's time to crash on the couch and scroll through Instagram to check up on everyone's costumes — and the thing I'm most curious about is what my favorite plus size bloggers wore on Halloween. While the candy bowl by the front door is now satisfyingly empty from all the trick-or-treaters and your face paint and fake blood have been buffed away, it's never too late to start thinking about what you'll wear come next year. After all, a little inspiration never hurt anybody, right?

Sure, Christmas music is inevitably around the corner, but before we start singing "Jingle Bells," let us take a moment to appreciate the amazing looks that Oct. 31 brought us. Who better to turn to than our favorite plus size bloggers who can offer not only a dose of body positivity, but straight up sartorial amazing-ness to boot? Spanning everything from movie characters to creepy gore, these ladies brought it.

If there was a "Best Costume" ribbon I could give from the comfort of my couch, it'd be incredibly difficult to decide who deserves it the most. Below are what nine plus size bloggers wore on Halloween. Get ready for babe-spiration.

1. Nadia Aboulhosn

Blogger and model Nadia Aboulhosn popped on a blonde wig and transformed into Sandy from Grease. According to her Insta-caption, she went to a Grease-themed party and — though her costume is adorable — she expressed slight regret over what she decided to wear. Instead, she wished she "dressed up as something greasy like a cheeseburger and played it off." This is a woman after my own heart.

2. Georgina Horne

Georgina Horne of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust decided to make many of us relive our worst nightmares by dressing up as a character from Saw. Those bloody syringes make needle pit scenes spring to mind, but you have to admit she's got the look completely down.

3. Nicolette Mason

Marie Claire columnist and blogger Nicolette Mason slayed as Baddie Winkle this year — an 86-year-old great-grandmother who's Instagram famous for her badass and outlandish style. Winkle has a penchant for tees emblazoned with tongue-in-cheek sayings like "you basic" and "will commit sins 4 Chipotle," showing the world that age is nothing but a number.

4. Tess Holliday

If you're a Beetlejuice fan, I'll give you a moment to freak out over #EffYourBeautyStandards' founder and model Tess Holliday's amazing "Miss Argentina" costume. For those of you who haven't watched the film in a while, Miss Argentina was the receptionist in the Netherworld. Holliday wore the look perfectly, from the hair to the green body paint. Plus, staying up until 4 a.m. scrubbing off green goop is an impressive amount of commitment to your character.

5. Gabi Gregg

OG plus size blogger Gabi Gregg looked amazing as Dionne Davenport, Cher's best friend in Clueless. Everything from the braids to the plaid to the outlandish hat was so on point that I can just hear the haughty "as if." Also, that brick phone. Talk about a throwback.

6. Teer Wayde

Aussie blogger Teer Wayde dressed up as a precious deer with flower-adorned horns and face paint applied with a skilled hand. Just look at that deer nose — too sweet. Meanwhile, her partner took Halloween the other way by opting to go creepy and dressing up as cannibal/serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

7. Margot Meanie

Margot Meanie went the couple's costume route this year and decided to go as Jack Skellington, Halloweentown's beloved pumpkin king, with ghost dog Zero in tow. Also, Sally's orange beard is perfection.

8. Denise Camargo

Denise Camargo decided to go the spooky route with her Halloween costume by making little baby fists punch through her pregnant belly. As far as pregnancy costumes go, this one is pretty badass. As for Little Robin in the corner, he seems unbothered. I guess when you're a superhero, you've seen it all.

9. Tanesha Awasthi

You have to love a mommy-and-me costume, especially when it's as adorable as this one. Mickey has it down pat with the big white gloves, and check out Girl With Curves blogger Tanesha Awasthi's amazing, glittery ears. It's hard not to be love struck by the sweetness of it all.

Sighs. There's just nothing like Halloween inspiration from body positive babes.
