Will H&M x Balmain Be Restocked? The Time Is Now If You Want To Buy

The latest news from the H&M x Balmain collection launch is that the products are flying off the racks in stores and nearly all sold out online. For those of us who have been refreshing the website since this morning to no avail, there's only one question to ask: will H&M x Balmain be restocked? Bustle has reached out to H&M for comment and has not yet heard back.

There seems to be plenty of evidence that the line probably won't be restocked. According to Footwear News, restocking is "rarely done with a designer collaboration of this level." Fashion Trend Guide reports that H&M doesn't normally restock designer collaborations at all. Racked NY states that stores participating in the VIP shopping event restocked their inventory on the sales floor in between groups of customers when certain items and sizes were sold out. However, stores eventually ran out of items completely at those events, which doesn't bode well for the chances of restocking for regular shoppers.

Considering that the collection has only been available for a few hours — the online shop and stores opened at 8 a.m. on Nov. 5 — and is already almost entirely sold out online and in many stores, we can certainly call the collection a success. However, that won't console your Balmain-loving heart if you haven't gotten a chance to snag some wares.

Fashion Trend Guide did point out that during the three day return and exchange period, people will likely be turning in hurried purchases. If you check back at your local store, you may find someone's return, which can become your new favorite piece. There's also a slim chance you may find some pieces in stores or on the sale rack down the road, once the frenzy for the collection dies down.

It's OK. My heart is breaking, too.
