If there's one thing King Kylie is the ruler of, it's Kylie Jenner-approved beauty tips and tricks that get everyone's attention. The 18-year-old has certainly got this hair and makeup thing on lock (definitely way more than I did at age 18, to be honest), so it's no wonder her website and app focus on her passion for all things beauty. And even though her platforms are subscription-based, the best deets are bound to leak — and six more of Kylie Jenner's beauty tips are making the rounds, according to Allure.
Shared in a video on her website, some of her advice is a little, well, celebrity-ish for a teenager. But then again, she did grow up in front of cameras. It's not surprising she's picked up some pretty undeniable beauty prowess along the way. Like her sisters, she always steps out looking no less than perfect, so when she talks her advanced makeup routine, nail tips, or what she does to her glowing skin, people listen. (Including me, of course.)
Here's the latest batch of Kylie Jenner's beauty tips and tricks to hit the WWW — plus, five more secrets she's shared with the world in the past. All hail the (beauty) king, right?
1. Don't Skip Under Eye Cream
"It's great to use under your eyes to prevent wrinkles in the future and under eye bags and stuff like that," Jenner said in her latest video — her fave is Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. I can vouch for this, too; it's super nourishing.
2. Wear Sunscreen Religiously
So young, yet so wise. "Sunscreen is so important to put on your face every day and your neck, on your chest and on your hands, too," she said in the video. Love that Jenner advocates for healthy skin as a base for all her fabulous makeup. In September, she told The New York Times she uses TiZO3's tinted formula.
3. Manicures Are Worth The Splurge
"My mom always taught me this growing up, because a man always looks at a woman's nails. Just get them done. Gels are good because they last really long," she said. While I don't think anyone should get manicures to impress guys, nothing makes you feel more glam than a fresh polish, right?
4. Consider Laser Hair Removal
In her video, Jenner described laser hair removal as "life changing." I have no doubt it is —never having to shave your legs again? I can only dream. If you can't justify the professional treatment in your budget, consider a handheld at-home device.
5. Teeth Whitening Makes A Difference
"I go to my dentist, but it might be a little expensive, so your local drug store is great too," she said. Her alternatives? "The Crest whitening strips, and coconut oil is a natural extract for white teeth."
6. Makeup Removal Is Key
The final piece of sage advice from her latest video: "Wash your face every night and get all your makeup off. And don't forget because it's really bad to sleep in makeup." Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are her go-to, she told The New York Times.
7. Use Foundation Over Illuminator
In one of the first tutorials on Kylie's site, her makeup artist used Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation Illuminator before applying foundation to achieve a more natural finish.
8. Brush On Yellow Powder To Hide Redness
Jenner uses a Bobbi Brown's yellow powder over her makeup to cancel out any pink-ish undertones. "I like yellow because it cancels out any red, and it works really well with my spray tan color," she told The New York Times.
9. Opt For Subtle False Eyelashes
"I used to be obsessed with heavy lashes, but now I just want to find something super clean and light," she told The New York Times. "I like the Wispies ones."
10. Apply Moisturizer With A Brush
This is one of Jenner's more unconventional beauty techniques — in a video in which she and her bestie give her assistant a makeover, she applied moisturizer using a fiber brush (usually made for applying self tanner.)
11. Scotch Tape Cat Eyes Really Work
Even if you've heard this one before, there's no one like Kylie Jenner to give the technique her vote of confidence. Her makeup artist used the technique in the aforementioned birthday glam video.
