11 Glitter Manicures Perfect For The Holidays

by Miki Hayes

When it comes to the holiday season, one thing there can never be too much of is glitter. Glitter decor, glitter shoes, glitter makeup, and glitter manicures are always welcome. My favorite? Those sparkly nails, of course. They add the right amount of sparkle to any look without you having to worry about loose particles shedding everywhere. Because even though glitter can be fun to apply, it can also be a pain in the ass to remove. If you usually shy away from glitter polish for this reason though, don't worry. A little aluminum foil will help that sparkle slide right off when you're ready.

And besides, there are so many fun ways to rock some glitter nails whether you prefer an accent nail, a glitter gradient, or just some all-out sparkly tips. Plus, since glitter in general is festive, you don't have to worry about sticking to any green-and-red or gold-and-silver motifs to be in the spirit. Any colors will work. Really. Need some inspiration? These 11 ladies from Instagram have their glitter manicures on point. And I'm honestly feeling a little nail-envy. Now the only question is: What style and colors will you choose? Any way you go, glitter is always a good idea.

1. Iced Out

Go big or go home, right? White glitter totally makes a statement and the subtle, pink ombre is everything.

2. Accent Nail

Simple and classic.

3. Mermaid Nails

Mermaid nails are still totally holiday-appropriate.

4. Glitter Gradient

Glitter gradients are my personal favorite, and I'm really feeling these coppery hues.

5. Starry Night

One word: Obsessed.

6. Chocolatey

Always a fan of a manicure (or anything for that matter) that reminds me of chocolate.

7. Snowflakes

So winter appropriate.

8. Classic

For when you just need to get your glitter on.

9. Frosted Tips

Are these nails making anyone else crave snow?

10. Traditional

Love a glittery take on a Christmas manicure.

11. Mix 'n Match

When one type of glitter just isn't enough.
