Kate Bosworth Nails The Skinny Scarf With A Dress
Kate Bosworth has gone a long way since her Blue Crush days, updating her wardrobe with more than just killer bikinis. She proved just that at the annual British Fashion Awards, where Kate Bosworth's skinny scarf look gave one of fall's biggest trend an ultra-feminine update. Très chic, indeed!
From elegant, knee length dresses, to fitted trousers and classic oxfords, to skinny jeans and wool coats, Kate Bosworth's style is one I'd call classic-edgy. While she's always got the timeless elements down, namely, well-tailored blouses and jackets, she always adds a bit of a surprising edge, whether it's an unexpected cool-girl shoe (I'm looking at you, silver oxfords and wooden clogs), or a statement metallic clutch. Either way, she's got the style of the coolest older sister we're always trying to embody.
At the British Fashion Awards, Bosworth donned a pale blue Erdem dress chock-full of texture. Yup, those are zippers at her elbows. And yes, those are pleats and sheer paneling. While it may sound like a lot of details, the one unifying hue and black accessories kept it all cohesive. Bosworth went with a classic black Mary Jane heel and a small black clutch. But the best part of the look? The skinny scarf, of course!
More like a neck or bowtie, the skinny scarf has been around for ages, especially in the early 2000s (hello, Kate Moss has been pictured wearing it in the early aughts). But now, they're making a huge comeback, thanks to Chloé's Fall 2015 collection. Basically, they're the fashion girl's new accessory, and now, Bosworth showed us exactly how you can take this otherwise casual trend on to the Red Carpet.
