When Is Season 2 Of ‘Transparent’ Coming Out?

by Emily Lackey

There’s a pretty big surprise in store for those of you who love Transparent and subscribe to Amazon Prime. Jill Soloway, the writer and creator of the award-winning Amazon series Transparent announced on Monday that the first episode of the second season would be available to stream for Amazon Prime customers that same day. Starting at 8 p.m. EST, Prime members will have full access to the first episode of the new season, which means it’s never been a better time to be Prime. It also means you know exactly where you can find me tonight at 8 p.m. In fact, I will most likely be sitting in front of my computer at 7:59 on the dot, frantically refreshing my Amazon Prime page until the episode is available. But, for those of you out there who don’t have Prime, or who are desperate to watch the whole season all at once, I’m sure you are wondering when the entire season will be available to stream on Amazon.

Well, wonder no longer, my little Pfefferman lovers. There will be plenty of time for you to enjoy the back-and-forth antics and endless banter of this amazing California-based family. After all, writer and creator Jill Soloway did promise early on that the second season would be a wild one. With all of that hype (and the news that the show has already been renewed for Season 3), I know I’m not the only one dying to get my hands on the entire season.

The good news is that we won’t have to wait long. Although the first episode will be available to stream for Prime members tonight, the entire season will premiere on December 11th, just in time for the holiday season. Because I can’t think of a better way to survive the holidays than to escape with the Pfeffermans.

So hang tight, Transparent lovers. Whether you are an Amazon Prime member or not, the entire season will be available to stream soon enough. Until then, let the count down to dysfunction and a ton of familial love begin.
