In case you haven't heard yet, Drake will appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend as both the host and musical guest. That news alone should be enough to get you pumped up to watch this weekend, but if it's not — one, what have you been doing with your life if not listening to and loving his most recent album, Nothing Was the Same, while silently chuckling to yourself because you can't get those images of him as Jimmy on Degrassi out of your head? And two, here's a reason to get excited: The first promos for Drake on Saturday Night Live are here, and, unsurprisingly, they're pretty charming. Honestly, I don't know if it's just because I really dig that "cool cat" joke in the beginning, but either way, it's definitely worth a watch! Also: How adorable is Jay Pharoah?
As with all SNL promotional promos that are posted on the web, the video contains quite a few, featuring Drake with various SNL players like Bobby Moynihan and Pharoah. It's usually a telling sign that an episode will be promising if the promos are good, and these are certainly adorable — plus, Drake has all that Degrassi acting experience!
