Here's hoping this isn't the next celebrity feud, because I've had enough of those. Lindsay Lohan isn't happy with Jennifer Lawrence, after the Joy actress made some not-so-nice remarks about Lohan during a Monday appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Lawrence opened up about to Colbert about getting sick while filming Joy, saying: "I get, like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I'm always in bed early, but I'm still tired."
Ouch. That might not have been the best thing to say, but I'm sure The Hunger Games star didn't mean anything by it. I bet she even thought she was being funny, because when doesn't the 25-year-old Oscar winner showcase her sense of humor during an interview? That's who she is and what she does.
Well, Lohan didn't see it that way. And neither did her sister Ali Lohan who tweeted, "I never breathe life into negativity but I stand by my family. Disappointed in Jennifer Lawrence. You lost a fan."
In response to both J. Law's comment and her sister's tweet, Lohan posted, "thank you sister.. Maybe who you're referring to should learn to support others like #mayaangelou." The former Disney star even attached a Maya Angelou quote with her tweet reading: "You may shoot me with your words, you may cut me with your eyes, you may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, I'll Rise."
It's no secret that Lohan's had a past with drugs and alcohol. That said, should those choices haunt her for the rest of her life and make her the butt of jokes? I would hope not, which is probably part of the point The Parent Trap actress is trying to make.
Rather than getting a laugh out of someone who's struggled greatly, you should show them support or just keep your mouth shut altogether. Again, I'm sure that wasn't J. Law's intention, but as endearing as it is when Lawrence says the first thing that comes to her mind, maybe next time she should think before she speaks.
