Kim K's Secret To Moisturized Skin In Winter
This woman certainly has an elaborate beauty routine, so when she posts about something the rest of us can easily do (you know, sans makeup artist and glam team), we should all take note. Kim Kardashian uses facial oil because it’s a great way to moisturize and nourish your skin. Now, I’m not a pro at contouring, but applying facial oil — now, that’s something I can handle. So, thanks for the tip, Kim K.
Kardashian posted about the oils to her website writing, “I've been loving rich face oils to keep my skin smooth and soft, especially during pregnancy and they'll be great for these winter months!” I’m glad she’s sharing a beauty product that she loves, especially now because she’s right — keeping your skin moisturized is super important during the winter season.
There are a variety of different types of facial oils that you can use, too. Whether you want to use oil that’s been soaked in flowers and smells amazing or you just want something simple, there’s a little something for everyone. Check out six reasons why you should start take a lesson from Kardashian and start using facial oils to protect your skin now and all throughout the year.
1. Facial Oils Are Super Nourishing
Leave your face feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by applying oils instead of lotion.
2. They Make Great Stocking Stuffers
Facial oils are tiny enough to fit into stockings, and your beauty obsessed friends and family members will so appreciate this as a gift.
3. Facial Oils Leave Your Face Smelling Amazing

Just because you're skipping out on the lotion doesn't mean you can't still get an amazing scent from your facial moisturizer. The one above happens to have the subtle smell of roses.
4. A Little Goes A Long Way
Some oils can be pricey, but the good thing is that a tiny bottle will last for a long time. It doesn't take much to get the full effects of the moisturizing power.
5. You Can Apply It Right Before Bed
Kardashian recommends applying this right before bed and showering in the morning (in case any oil got into your hair). As far as a beauty routine goes, I'm all for something that can easily be applied right before bed.
6. It's Great For All Skin Types
According to The Gloss, it's a common misconception to think that you can't use facial oil if you have oily skin. Facial oil works for all skin types.
So, there you have it, folks. Facial oil is the way to go when it comes to moisturizing and protecting skin. Plus, it's a Kim K-approved skincare method, and I didn't really need any more convincing than that.
She should do a commercial: Facial oil, for flawless skin.
