Sephora Turned Pantone's Colors Into Makeup

by Sienna Fantozzi

If you're as in love with 2016's Colors of the Year as I am, then you're going to be pretty excited to hear that Sephora turned Pantone's colors into a makeup palette, according to Racked. And the products are just as soft and romantic as you could imagine.

If you didn't know, every year, Sephora collaborates with Pantone, but I have to say, none have been more beautiful than this year's collection. Not only did we get two colors, but we got two seriously pretty colors, and they are going to make spring/summer makeup so much better.

ICYMI — this year, our Colors of the Year are Serenity, a baby blue, and Rose Quartz, a pale pink, and they'll be turned into a makeup line which includes a 24 shade eye-color palette, lip gloss, and lipstick. Prices range from $18-$39, so it's affordable enough to buy literally everything in the collection.

But when you hear the reason Sephora chose both colors instead of just one, you're going to love it even more. “We are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion, which has in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design, opening our eyes to different approaches to color usage," said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute™.

It's like candy colored makeup. So. Much. Fun.

It kind of reminds me of Clueless, right?

Since we have to wait for the collection to launch later this month, here are some Pantone-colored items to shop from Sephora in the meantime.

1. Eyeliner

Marc Jacobs In Light Sky Blue; $25; sephora.com

This would be perfect for creating winter wonderland inspired holiday makeup.

2. Eyeshadow

Makeup Forever In Celestial Blue; $21; sephora.com

It's shimmery, so you know it's extra pretty.

3. Liquid Eyeliner

Stila In Periwinkle Blue; $22; sephora.com

And it's waterproof, so it'll last much longer.

4. Lipstick

Dior Addict In Sheer Natural Pink; $33; sephora.com

Pale pink makes a natural, but glam hue.

5. Shadow Stick

Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow In Pink Sparkle; $29; sephora.com

If eyeshadow isn't really your thing, going with a light pink makes it look way more natural.

6. Nail Polish

Butter London In Pink Knickers; $18; sephora.com

Whatever, red. This winter, I'm all about the pink polish.

7. Blush

Bobbi Brown In Pink Sugar; $28; sephora.com

Luckily, this year's color is actually appropriate for blush.
