2016 Beauty Trends Every Lazy Girl Should Try

by Shea Simmons

2015 had some pretty stellar beauty trends. Whether it was achieving perfect rainbow hair or getting that Kylie Jenner pout, the looks were fairly varied. 2016 doesn't seem like it's going to be much different, but while some of 2015's trends required lots of work, I've got the 2016 beauty trends every lazy girl should try. From braids to blues, the 2016 beauty trends ahead of us are sure to be doozies, and while it's not easy to predict what's really going to take off, the best way to look forward is to look back — at fashion week that is.

Every year, fashion and beauty loving people's eyes turn toward New York, Paris, and Milan for their respective fashion week. It's here when we get to see the industry's hottest trends before they hit the street. It's a fantastic indicator of what the fashion and beauty experts expect to see during the come year. During this year's fashion week — which is actually for 2016 — viewers were captivated by vibrant eyelids shades, bold lips, and hair accessories. Each of these beauty trends are sure to be big hits in 2016, and there are total lazy girl hacks to pull them off. Basically, this is the lazy girl's guide to 2016's beauty trends.

Bold Lip Color

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella, $25, Amazon

This jumbo lip pencil makes application a cinch for the lazy girl. A quick swap can cover a lot of territory. Plus, one of the cardinal rules of lazy girl makeup is not needing to constantly reapplying, and this long lasting formula is perfect. A bold lip has been around for a while, and it's not going anywhere in 2016.

Messy Hairstyles

Lazy girls rejoice because messy hairstyles are a 2016 beauty trend! Messy pulled back hair looks beautifully feminine, and the best news is that the look is incredibly easy to achieve.

Vibrant Eyes

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Abyss, $20, Nordstrom

Bold blue shadows were huge on the DVF Spring runway, and while some serious blending had to take place to make that look work, there's a lazy girl hack for vibrant, colorful eyes. A boldly colored liner can add a gorgeous pop of color to a lash line or inner corner in no time flat making this 2016 trend perf for lazy girls.

Creative French Manicures

OPI Starlight Nail Polish Collection in Center of the You-niverse, $7, Amazon

Say bye to the boring old french manicure. Instead, creative and unique nail art is the answer. There are great YouTube tutorials on lazy girls every where can achieve a flawless french manicure.

Hair Accessories

Gold Leaf Headband Laurel Wreath, $11, Amazon

Hair accessories were a huge runway trend, and with Kylie Jenner rocking hair tattoos, it's clear that it's already started. Whether it's tattoos like Kylie's or a gorgeous headband, play up the perfect accessory.

Glowing Skin

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, $48, Sephora

Vaseline was used on the runways to achieve a crazy glow, but for the average person, coating your skin in Vaseline may not be the best idea. A dewy mist or excellent highlighter are the answer, but mists are lazy girl gold. A quick spritz and you're good to go.

Tousled Hair

Lived-in waves and messy looks were all over the runway, and this is one hell of a YouTube hack.
