2015 Was A Big Year For Celeb Designers

by Sienna Fantozzi

It's always exciting when celebrities release their own fashion/beauty collections. They can definitely be hit or miss, but some seriously deliver, and it's fun to see your favorite stars branch out and try something new. Plus, if you love their style, you definitely want to own pieces they designed. We had a decent amount of celebrity collections this past year, so in case you missed any or just need a refresher, I'll recap the best celebrity collections from 2015. Maybe some of them could even offer up some last-minute holiday gifting inspiration? We still have two days, y'all!

Some celebrity collections are total hits (I mean, who ever thought we'd prefer Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as fashion designers than actors?), and others....don't exactly go over so well. But 2015 saw plenty of successful attempts at celebrities transitioning into fashion/design, and these stars proved there is definitely no end to their talent.

It's hard to keep up on what's going on all the time, so let's revisit the best celebrity collections that launched in 2015. Here's hoping 2016 is just as bright for them.

1. Yeezy Boost

The highly coveted item even won "Shoe of the Year." Need I say more?

2. Melissa McCarthy Seven7

Seven7 Top; $; nordstrom.com

There's nothing better than a celebrity backing size inclusive fashion that is seriously cute (not to mention affordable), and the Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection totally lived up to the hype.

3. Rihanna x PUMA

PUMA Creepers; $120; puma.com

RiRi's PUMA creepers were so anticipated, they sold out right away. But then they were restocked, featuring even better colors like pink and white.

4. Draper James

Holiday Dress; $250; draperjames.com

I wasn't sure how Reese Witherspoon's attempt at a lifestyle company would go over, but the clothing and other items offered are seriously adorable. If you love classic, timeless styles with a feminine and fun flair, this line is for you.

5. Kendall & Kylie Jenner x Topshop

There's basically nothing these girls can't do that wouldn't be successful, and their Topshop collection was no exception. Shoutout to the ah-mazing festival wear in it.

6. Rebel For Torrid

Lace Dress; $55.98; torrid.com

Rebel Wilson's plus-size collection launched just in time for the holiday's, making party season dressing way more fun.

7. Lip Kits

Kylie Jenner's highly anticipated lip kits sold out twice , so I think it's safe to say this collection was a success.

8. Alexa Chung x AG Jeans

The Pixie Dress; $195; revolveclothing.com

Bring on the overalls, button-up dresses, and ripped skinnies, because this collection was everything your denim dreams were made of.
