How The ‘RHONJ’ Women Feel About Teresa’s Return

by Emily Lackey

It’s only natural that everyone on The Real Housewives of New Jersey would have something to say about Teresa Giudice returning to The Real Housewives and the Garden State after almost a year in federal prison. After all, there isn’t much that these women stay mum about, especially when it comes to the other women in their cast. But, how the RHONJ reacted to the news that Teresa Giudice would be released from prison with enough time to spend Christmas with her family seemed to depend a lot on how their relationship with her was left when they were incarcerated.

After all, they wouldn’t be Real Housewives if they didn’t stir up a little drama. And the responses that the current and former housewives gave said a lot — even if what they were saying was nothing at all. Because you can believe that each of the RHONJ wanted to make some kind of statement about how they felt after the news broke that Teresa Giudice would be returning home for Christmas and returning to their neck of the woods.

And make a statement they did. Just look at how the women of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reacted to Teresa’s return to their state and to their lives.

Melissa Gorga

Melissa tweeted her belief that what had happened to Teresa — being allowed to come home in time to spend the holidays with her family — had been a Christmas miracle. Clearly, she’s considering Teresa’s return a blessing.

Dina Manzo

Dina’s enthusiasm for Teresa’s return was clear in not one, but two messages to her friend. In the first, on the day that Teresa returned, Manzo expressed her joy. A few days later, she posted a throwback video to celebrate her friend’s return.

Jacqueline Laurita

Jacqueline and Teresa may not be on the best of terms, but Laurita has been clear that she still feels deeply for her longtime friend. On Dec. 23, the day of Teresa’s release, Laurita posted a cryptic photo on Instagram that may or may not have been directed at Teresa. It’s hard to tell, but it might be Laurita’s attempt at wishing Teresa the best in this next chapter.

Amber Marchese

This former RHONJ housewife spoke openly about Teresa’s return, tweeting that she was happy Teresa and her family could spend the holidays together.

Caroline Manzo

Manzo didn’t comment on Twitter or on Instagram about the return of her friend. Instead, she was absent from social media on Dec 23, the day that Teresa was released — only to return on Christmas Eve with videos of Laurita’s son Nicholas singing Christmas carols.

Kathy Wakile

Even though she is Teresa’s cousin, Wakile remained silent on social media on Dec 23, returning after Christmas to wish love and joy to her fans.

Gia Giudice

On the day of her mother’s return, Gia tweeted this simple but loving message to her mother. I’m sure nobody was happier to have Teresa home than her husband and children.

For the most part, despite the fact that drama follows these ladies around, it seems that most of the RHONJ cast is happy to welcome Teresa back onto the show now that she's been released from prison.
