It wasn’t long ago that Taylor Swift was being photographed in sky-high heels and mini skirts while entering and exiting the gym in NYC. While those perfectly polished outfits are some of my favorite sources of style inspiration, Taylor Swift wore Yeezy Boost 350s on New Year’s Eve and didn’t disappoint, despite looking more relatable. When heading into a West Hollywood gym on Dec. 31, Swift took a departure from her usual preppy style and sported a pair of black and pink leggings, a slouchy beanie, and sneakers by none other than Yeezy (a further peace offering, perhaps?). Kanye would definitely approve of the athleisure look.
While I couldn’t get enough of Swift’s previous post-workout threads, I have to admit it is nice to see the 26-year-old hitting the gym looking like, well, a real person who actually perspires. In fact, her new workout wear has inspired me to amp up my gym attire and follow through with my New Year's resolution of going to the gym more. While I plan to update my workout clothes with a pair of pink and black leggings like Swift’s and an awesome backpack as well, I think I’ll leave her signature red lip for a night on the town rather than a day on the elliptical.
If you are looking to start the year off in chic athleisure that can be sported to the gym or to the mall, here's how you can recreate Taylor Swift’s look.
