Last year, Gina Rodriguez won all of us over with her incredible speech when she nabbed the award for Best TV Comedy Actress for Jane The Virgin . A year later, nothing really has changed, except perhaps her red carpet style. At the 2016 Golden Globes, Gina Rodriguez's navy gown exudes confidence and elegance — like she's been there, done that (cue: hair flip). She may have been a newbie last year, but Rodriguez is a red carpet veteran now, and it's easy to see.
While she has grown into her red carpet style, it's not totally predictable — Rodriguez's navy blue gown tonight is an exciting change from her recent looks. Instead of the classic black we're used to seeing on her, Rodriguez decided to wow us on the red carpet in a Zac Posen gown that makes her look like total royalty. I'm obsessed with the off-the-shoulder cut of her dress, as well as the poofy, ball gown skirt. I also love the fact that her dress has pockets — I feel like that ups the chicness factor immensely. Rodriguez looks so regal, like the queen of the Golden Globes. Bow down.
Rodriguez's makeup and hair should not be overlooked, however. Her face is literally glowing and so, so ***flawless. She looks super fresh-faced, rocking full lashes and a nude lip, which definitely keeps the focus on her gown.
Although I think soft waves would've been a better match for this gown (or even a romantic chignon), I do love her hair, which is different from how we're used to seeing her style her gorgeous dark locks. She pinned part of it back to really show off the rest of her face, which is never a bad idea when you've got a glowy smile like she does!
So beautiful, right? I am also dying over her chandelier earrings.
