There's Nothing Like a Drink After Your DUI Arrest

by Ivy Jacobson

The sky must be green in Justin Bieber's world. The furniture in his house has got to be upside-down, and cats must say "moo," because none of this makes sense. On the same day that Justin was arrested and charged with DUI, resisting arrest, driving with an expired license, and waving from the top of a car like a sad Mr. America (actually, Canada), Justin Bieber and his dad, Jeremy Bieber, were photographed at a bar in Miami's South Beach. The 19-year-old "Boyfriend" singer was surrounded by bottles at his table shortly after he was released on $2,500 bail, and was wearing a hat and a jersey with a Canadian maple leaf on it.

If I had been arrested for a DUI at 19-years-old, there is not a snowflake's chance in hell that my parents would have even taken me to a McDonalds. DUIs are generally a very serious occurrence, but hey, when you need to blow off steam after such an incident, I can't think of anything better to do than to be seen in public at a private VIP table with your father. Jeremy was also at the scene of Justin's arrest, according to TMZ, because he reportedly helped block off the street that Justin drag raced on.

Interesting, because nine days before Justin's arrest, Jeremy Bieber tweeted:

Example, indeed. Scooter Braun, Justin's manager (I'd retire and move to Hawaii riiiight about now) may feel a tad differently about the whole situation. According to TMZ, Justin's team wants him to enter rehab, or psychotherapy at the very least. Scooter tweeted a message to Justin after his arrest yesterday that has since been deleted that said,"@justinbieber love you and i will act in the manner of someone who truly cares. that is all I have to say. thanks for all those concerned."

Then, Braun tweeted again:

Was Braun's deleted tweet at jab at Jeremy? Maybe he's playing tough love with Justin. But he is right about being there when it counts. Justin, everyone knows that happy hour is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and you and your dad showed up just a little late.
