If you haven't checked out the 2016 Oscars nominations yet, I suggest you get to it ASAP, because they are awesome. The Academy seems to have recognized more women than ever this year, signaling that this may be the best Oscars yet. Amongst a pack of other talented leading ladies, Saoirse Ronan snagged a Best Actress Oscars nomination for her role in Brooklyn, and she totally deserves it.
You may not have immediately thought of Ronan when making your nomination predictions, but the truth is, her performance in Brooklyn was just as applause-worthy as anyone else nominated in that category. Now that we have established that the actress will be in attendance, only one question remains — what will Ronan wear to the 2016 Oscars? This one is a bit of a wild card, because her style is so versatile.
While the 21-year-old has been in the movie business since she was a teenager, starring in films like The Lovely Bones and The Grand Budapest Hotel, the actress seems to have sort of flown under the radar for the most part. While she may not be gracing every carpet like JLaw, we have seen her at enough Hollywood events to know her red carpet style.
While I'm pretty sold on an ethereal floral gown, here are all my predictions for what Saoirse Ronan will wear to Hollywood's biggest night, based on her past red carpet style.
1. Soft & Delicate
The actress donned a white chiffon gown to the 2016 Golden Globes that was so delicately beautiful. This Spring 2016 Prabal Gurung gown has a similar soft effect and would look stunning on Ronan.
2. Bold Color
The actress is clearly fond of bright color, per that adorable peach-colored dress she wore on the red carpet. This magenta Marchesa gown from the Spring 2016 collection will have Ronan stealing all the attention on Oscar night.
Ronan is clearly a fan of floral, because she recently wore the trend on the red carpet. This Spring 2016 Oscar de la Renta gown has feminine florals with a big of edge, which would suit her perfectly.
4. Unique Print
This Alexander McQueen gown from the Spring 2016 collection is right up her alley when it comes to vintage-looking prints.
Metallics obviously suit the actress beautifully, and this gold March Jacobs gown from the Spring 2016 collection would be so stunning on her.
6. Sheer Black
This Spring 2016 Givenchy gown is similar to something Ronan wore recently on the red carpet, but with a bit more glamour fit for the Oscars.
