More incredibly sad news for the Dion family. Only one day after her husband, René Angélil, died of cancer, it has been confirmed that Celine Dion's brother is also battling cancer, and it sounds like he might not have long left to live. The "Because You Loved Me" performer's sister, Claudette Dion, recently gave an interview to The Journal of Montreal, published on Friday, in which she explained Daniel's situation. "It's very painful... It's a matter of days or hours," Claudette said. She went onto explain that her and her sibling's mother had been with the family visiting Daniel in the hospital: "Mom arrived very quickly in Montreal. She is 89 years old and she is very strong. It is surrounded, the whole family together. We are with Daniel, day and night ... He is 59 years old, very young to be the end of life."
