The Hotline Blinged: There’s A Drake Coloring Book

by Emma Oulton

I’m about to say a true thing: the two biggest trends of 2015 have just been combined, because there’s now a Drake coloring book. Ever since Johanna Basford burst onto the scene with her enchanting designs, adult coloring books have been on the rise. Yep, we started from the bottom, now we’re here. (And no, I do not intend to stop slipping Drake lyrics into this article any time soon.)

Under Star Projectors , the unofficial Drake coloring book, is published by U.K.-based print company Sugoi Books, and is available for around $10. And you don’t have to worry about running out of pages in your... coloring book, as it’s packed with 32 black-and-white pictures to keep you busy.

A large team of artists worked on the drawings in tribute to the “Hotline Bling” rapper. The description of the book on the Sugoi Books website reads:

Our tribute to Drizzy himself, Aubrey Drake Graham. Ultimate lover, all time friend - he only means one thing… So we dressed down for him, baring all and teamed with some awesome illustrators to create a stripped back coloring book in tribute to his awesome-ness.

Here are just a few of the illustrations you can expect to see inside Under Star Projectors.

This time last year, themed coloring books were still super-retro — man, I’m talkin’ way before hashtags (last one, I swear) — but by now, it’s pretty clear they’re the future. Once I’ve finished coloring in Drake, I can’t wait to see what’s next for this mega-trend. Have we had a Chris Pratt coloring book yet? And when do we get to color in Pizza Rat?
