People's Choice Awards For Books Are Now A Thing

Thanks to a new partnership with The Reading Room, People's Choice Awards for books are now a thing that exists. Book nerds can vote for their favorite titles in six categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Crime & Mystery, Young Adult, Fantasy, and Romance. The nominees represent the best of what 2015 had to offer readers, and they compete in the People's Choice Awards' first-ever literary competition, simply titled "Favorite Books 2016."

Founded by former publisher Kim Anderson in 2010, The Reading Room is a book-discovery site that allows users to track their collections, read in-house and nationally-published reviews, and buy new titles. Of her website's new endeavor with the People's Choice Awards, Anderson says, "This is the beginning of a great partnership that we hope will build year on year and be a great way for viewers and readers to discover new books."

Although both the People's Choice Awards and The Reading Room list the finalists on their websites, only the latter actually allows readers to cast their ballots. Those who vote can save a whopping 40 percent off the purchase of the nominees by using promo code FAV2016 at checkout.
