The 'Friends' Reunion Came Early

by Michelle Lulic

The highly-anticipated Friends reunion has come early... sort of. Thanks to help of Big Bang Theory star, Johnny Galecki, and his personal instagram account, a very notable photo opportunity did not go unnoticed. As the casts of both The Big Bang Theory and Friends came together at the dinner table during NBC's Sunday, Jan. 24 taping of Must See TV: A Tribute To James Burrow, and the first Friends reunion photo was born. Checking in for the photo-op include Big Bang Theory cast members — Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Simon Helberg — while the familiar faces from Friends included Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. Making this mash-up photo not only pretty random, but total comedy gold. Whether or not your love extends to both series, both casts are serious leaders in the world of television sitcoms.

However, as you may have noticed, there were a few faces missing from the picture perfect moment, including Big Bang Theory cast members Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch, and Mayim Bialik. Missing from the Friends crew was Matthew Perry, who already announced that he wouldn't be present at the taping. While Perry is said to have missed the Sunday night taping due to the play that he is currently working on in London, the absence of Chandler is still nothing less than heart-breaking. But, nevertheless, I guess us Friends fans are just going to have to imagine he was there. Because this photo is still worth staring at for a while.

So, what's next for us desperate Friends fans? Well, we can watch the two-hour reunion special on Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, for starters. And then, we can keep our fingers crossed that a real Friends reunion will actually happen sometime soon. P.S.: We miss you, Chandler!
