Kim K & Amber Rose Are Hanging Out Now?

by Kadeen Griffiths

Remember that time when you were minding your own business and suddenly a Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa feud broke out? And then remember when Amber Rose put Kanye West on blast, and revealed some personal details about him that he later claimed wasn't true? Well, it turns out that Kanye was prophetic in a way, because Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose took a selfie together that's got the Internet collectively scratching their heads and screaming at the sheer audacity of it all. While the feud itself doesn't bear recounting, what makes this otherwise innocuous selfie so mind-blowing is that it comes so soon after the feud was formally ended. Sure, Kanye deleted all his tweets to Wiz Khalifa, and then Amber Rose threw shade his way, and then he later apologized, but who knew just a few days later we'd have this?

What makes this particularly hilarious is the fact that Kanye told us that this would happen. The rapper himself tweeted, "Me and my wife got the kind of love that can turn exes into best friends." Honestly, when he wrote that, I didn't think that this was what he was talking about at all, especially since it was attached to a tweet in which he felt the need to inform us that his preferred form of bedroom play was pictures and videos. And yet here we are, with the selfie to end all selfies, that has fans going, "Um, WTF?"

The "Tea, anyone?" caption makes the selfie even more bizarre — at least until you notice that Rose tweeted the same photo with the caption, "Swingers," followed by a frog and tea emoji. Anyone who spends more time on the Internet than is actually reasonable will realize right away that the emojis are a reference to the infamous Kermit the Frog But That's Not Of My Business meme, in which the Muppet sips tea while pointedly keeping his nose (does he have a nose?) out of the nonsense he is throwing shade at with his tea-sipping. It's the ultimate side-eye moment, and the fact that Rose and Kardashian have come together in order to make this happen raises... so many questions. Just. So many.

Are they telling us, as an audience, to see our way out of this "feud" that, as far as they are concerned, is so over? Are they saying that whatever is going on between Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West is none of their business, because these ladies can't be bothered with boys and their egos? Are they bonding over what Kanye is into in the bedroom and mutually joking that it's none of their business? Seriously, what is happening here? This is the kind of confusing twist people will be analyzing all week, and has certainly done even more to break the Internet than Kim Kardashian's Paper Magazine photo shoot ever did.

While no answers to the mystery currently plaguing fans seems to be forthcoming, at least we know one thing for sure: if you're confused about the timing, you're not alone.
