Are Ben Affleck & Matt Damon Coming To TV?

by Emily Lackey

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are about to make all of 13-year-old me's dreams come true. The Bostonian best friends and movie megastars are teaming up for the first time in too long a time to executive produce the new series Incorporated. And when it was announced on Wednesday that Affleck and Damon's series had been ordered for 13 episodes on SyFy, my Good-Will-Hunting-loving self was dying to know: Will Matt Damon and Ben Affleck star in this new show?

If even one outlet says they will, I can guarantee I will pull out all of those scrapbooks I made with pictures I ripped out of magazines and the shoddy posters I made from grainy images I found of them on the Internet and display them for all to see. If they actually starred in this show, it would be as if 1998 were coming back in a big way — because, seriously, the world needs Matt Damon and Ben Affleck working together on another creative endeavor. Everything these two touch turns to gold.

Unfortunately for my fandom, I might have to put those pre-pubescent dreams on hold for the time-being, though. From the sounds of it, Damon and Affleck will definitely be working behind-the-scenes on the show, but are already a number of other actors set to run the show from the front end. Skins and Reign star Sean Teale has been cast to play a young executive trying to save the woman he loves from some evil, greedy corporation. The show also stars Eddie Ramos, Dennis Haysbert, and Julia Ormond.

So does that mean no apples? No dates for caramel in Harvard Yard? No shirtless Matt Damon crying his broken heart out?

The answer is likely no. With a full cast of characters set and signed on, it’s unlikely that Damon or Affleck will be playing any major acting roles in the new series. But a girl can dream — I’ll keep holding out hope that they’ll make an appearance on Incorporated. And, of course, Teale is a great talent too, so the show will be great with or without appearances by Affleck and Damon.

I know I’ll be tuning in anyway, because I am obsessed with everything these two create. Always have been, always will be.
