The latest round of Kylie Lip Kits, both the restock of the originals and the Valentine's Day Trio, sold out almost instantly last week. I managed to snag a Candy K Lip Kit and that Holy Grail is on the way, but more on that once it arrives and is on my lips. What about Karrueche Tran's Colourpop Cosmetics collection, dubbed "KaePop?" Is the range of killer, sexy products that the model designed for this beloved indie brand sold out already? The KaePop collection includes highly pigmented eye shadows, bronzers, and matte liquid lippies a la the Kylie Lip Kits. The products are awesome and are comprised of universal neutrals and lots of pigmented pop. They were designed by an on-the-rise style influencer and a cult brand. The items are super affordable. So, on paper, they are perfect. But more importantly, are they still available?
I've got good news, makeupsitas. Yes, Karrueche Tran for Colourpop is still available on the the company's site so you can shop your heart out. If you were once again shut out from snagging a Kylie Lip Kit at $29 (for a lipstick and a coordinated liner) on Friday, well, you can grab one of the brand's Tran-created Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks to take the sting off and still rock a plump, suede-like pout.
So don't fret. Tran and Colourpop got you!
These shades are rich and earthy. They are also gorgeous. Chi, which is on the far left, reminds me of Dolce K a little... at least from the visuals I have seen of the makeup unicorns known as Kylie Lip Kits. Again, that's all about to change for me when mine arrives and I will give you the full rundown. But these Colourpop matte lipsticks seem like beyond suitable dupes that won't make a huge dent in your coin purse. They just look so divine and velvety. I can't stop looking at them.
Here is another view of the entire collection! Colourpop offers such color payoff in those shimmery shadows, too. There's a lot of Instagram buzz about these products and makeup lovers are feeling them!
Check it out IRL, too!
I was able to click to my heart's content and add things to a cart. Nothing was stamped "SOLD OUT." So if you have, for some inexplicable reason, delayed in stocking up on Karrueche Tran x KaePop x Colourpop collabo, then I suggest you get to it now.
In addition to the gorgeous, "beauty for cool kids" products, I love that they are made in L.A. and that they are so, so affordable.
