Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlyn have always had a strained relationship, to say the least. But after witnessing their massive falling out during Wednesday night's Arrow episode "Sins of the Father," I think we're officially past the point of no return. After Oliver helped Nyssa dethrone Malcolm from his Ra's al Ghul title — an act which involved literally cutting off his hand — Malcolm swore vengeance against Oliver and said that "death would be a mercy compared to the debt I now owe you." But just in case you brushed this off as just a harmless threat, Malcolm took things one step further by giving Damien Darhk the ammunition he's been looking for in order to defeat our Emerald Archer. Damien Darhk now knows that Oliver has a son named William on Arrow and this information could prove to be a total game changer.
Now, I'm not saying that this necessarily means Darhk will try to kill Oliver's son, but I'm also not denying that it's absolutely possible. Darhk may have a family of his own, but that doesn't mean he'd show mercy to anyone, whether they be man, woman, or child. And given his growing desire to bring Oliver down, William would be the perfect leverage in more ways than one. Not only could he threaten to harm William if Oliver doesn't do what he wants, but it could also destroy his relationship with Felicity.
We've seen how cold the two of them are together in the flash forwards. In fact, it doesn't even look as though they're engaged in that future. Perhaps that's because Darhk informs her of Oliver's child (which he still has yet to tell her about) and the secrecy inevitably drives them apart. This could also indicate that the flash forward mystery grave belongs to William. Barry knew about Oliver's son, which would explain his presence at the cemetery as well as why Felicity chose to remain in the car. Either way, though, I think it's clear that Oliver's troubles are only just beginning.
