WTF Are These Guys Doing Together?

by Rachel Semigran

Everything your college boyfriend has ever loved (assuming he played Matchbox 20 songs on the guitar just to, you know, "practice") is now together in one photo: Aaron Paul, Bill Murray, and Rob Thomas at a Kings of Leon concert. “Hey girl, after I watch Breaking Bad with the guys do you want to come over and maybe watch a Wes Anderson movie? I’ll play your favorite '90s soft rock hits on my acoustic guitar. And then maybe later, y’know we can have some of that sex on fire.” COME THE EFF ON, INTERNET! Seriously, with this photo, I can’t. The photo popped up via Rob Thomas’s Twitter simply with, “Yes. This happened” followed by “so @aaronpaul_8 is kind of awesome.” KIND OF MR. THOMAS?

You bite your tongue.

Prior to this most amazing photo, Aaron Paul tweeted, "I'm at Kings of Leon in NYC and Bill Murray is standing behind me. What should I do? Kiss him? Tackle him? Confess my love? #billmurray.” So apparently, the only thing cuter than Aaron Paul tweeting about his wife is Aaron Paul tweeting about Bill Murray. I can only hope Bill Murray was internally fanboying out over Rob Thomas just to complete the circle of Precious Moments.

Bill Murray's Kings of Leon concert appearance isn’t the wackiest of “Places Bill Murray Just Shows Up" — he showed up to a kickball game and once did some karaoke with complete strangers (sorry Bey and Kelly, Bill started that phenomenon). But, Bill Murray at a Kings of Leon concert with Aaron Paul and Rob Thomas is a game-changer.

How did all three of them happen to be in the same section? Wasn't Aaron Paul at Sundance? When is Bill Murray on and off the grid? Mr. Thomas, what is the status of Matchbox 20 these days and why is Kings of Leon not opening for YOU? Who are these lucky photobombers and what is their life story? So many burning questions.

Now that these three are forever emblazoned together in my mind, I can’t think of a world with them apart. So, Internet, let’s imagine some scenarios where the Paul-Murray-Thomas trifecta of insanity will go on:
