Wait, How old is Shirtless Anthony Keidis?

by Anna Klassen

You know those people that just don't age? You know, the baby faces, the guy with the super great head of hair that stays jet black until the day he dies. And Anthony Keidis. The lead singer for Red Hot Chili Peppers has been around for a long time. He sings in one of the greatest rock bands of modern history, and he has a penchant for performing shirtless. Singing one of the band's hits with Bruno Mars, "Give it Away Now", during Sunday's Super Bowl, Anthony Keidis stayed true to form and went sans shirt on stage. And he looked good. Like, reeeeeealllly good. So what's the news here, you ask? Oh, just the fact that the lead singer is 51 YEARS OLD. You read that right. Anthony Keidis is a 51-year-old man.

And the internet subsequently exploded. We're not saying it's hard to dig a silver fox, but the magnitude of Keidis's muscles, his head-banging set of tresses and just his general energy level left us, well, surprised. And even though the man was half naked, the band's performance with Bruno Mars was fairly tame, offering up one of the least controversial performances of recent years. All this on the 10 year anniversary of Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction.
