Kanye Throws Twitter Shade At deadmau5

Kanye West has made a nice little home for himself on Twitter, hasn't he? Rather than replying to followers or giving a shout out here and there to another artist or randomly tweeting about his life, the rapper can't help but continue to go on Twitter rants. Well, that's exactly what happened (again) on Wednesday, when Kanye West threw major shade at deadmau5, aka Joel Zimmerman, an electronic artist known for wearing a mouse head covering his face.

Before I get to Yeezy's tweets, which are his most entertaining to date, let me back up and explain why the 38-year-old artist is tweeting at Zimmerman. On Tuesday, West tweeted a screenshot of what he was listening to on YouTube. The image included the rapper's opened browser tabs, and one was opened to popular pirating software site The Pirate Bay. Based on the tabs, it appeared to Zimmerman that West was ripping digital synthesizer plug-in Serum, which hits close to home for him. Zimmerman's friend, Steve Duda, coded the Serum software and sells it via deadmau5's label, Xfer Records, which they started together. This lead to Zimmerman calling West out through several tweets.

Bustle has reached out to a rep for West regarding deadmau5's claims that he was ripping Serum, but has not yet heard back.

Alongside West's screenshot image, Zimmerman tweeted, "What the f*ck @kanyewest ... Can't afford serum? D*ck." He continued to post several other tweets, including one that reads, "Let's start a Kickstarter to help @kanyewest afford a copy of Serum."

This all lead to West's tweets, which include a lot of shade and a lot of sarcasm. Check it out.

Oh snap! (Side note: He really needs to learn how to use hashtags).

Zimmerman has yet to respond, but do you think his Twitter feud with West will end like Yeezy's did with Wiz Khalifa? Or maybe deadmau5 will show up with a Minnie Mouse head at North West's birthday party. Now that'd be a way to break the Internet.
