'RHOP' Star Charrisse Opens Up About Her Marriage

by Kayla Hawkins

On a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan had an emotional breakdown to Robyn Dixon about the state of her marriage, confessing that she was starting to initiate divorce proceedings with her husband, former Rutgers basketball coach Eddie Jordan. But, is RHOP's Charrisse divorced now? Actually, the reality star has a clarification she would like to make. In her Bravo blog, she explained that while her marriage was at a really rough point when they filmed the episode, since then, Charrisse is no longer considering divorce. "I must admit, this is not the first and probably wont be the last time I feel that this is the absolute END," she said. "[But], to date, I have not filed for divorce nor do I plan to."

However, even though they aren't getting divorced, Charrisse explained that her frustration in the episode was genuine. "That day I was having one of my unpleasant moments with Eddie. I was very angry with him and felt at that moment that I was done."

One of Charrisse's primary complaints on the show was that her husband was often away for his job and the long distance relationship was hard on them both.

But, in the past year, she's been doing a few things that suggest she's still invested in this relationship. She stuck up for Eddie multiple times when fans (and in some cases, her RHOP costars!) had negative things to say about their unconventional lifestyle where Eddie primarily lived in New Jersey so he could be closer to his job at Rutgers. Charrisse may have been upset that she didn't get to spend as much quality time with Eddie than if he worked in Potomac, but don't insult him without expecting a sharp response.

Charrisse even traveled back to New Jersey now and again, suggesting that maybe she became more flexible about traveling in order to make the relationship work.

But, in her blog, Charrisse admitted that, despite these efforts, there's a chance things might not work out between her and Eddie. "I haven’t totally given up on my marriage as of yet. As the saying goes… It ain’t over until the fat lady sings," she writes. "So far I may have heard a note, but no one is singing. At least not yet."

And while I'm hoping these two stay together, on the chance that they can't work it out, at least the rest of The Real Housewives of Potomac will be there by her side.
